God, we remember the message of selfless simplicity that Jesus taught us from the moment he was born. We admit that we often lose sight of this radical message during the Christmas season as we ascribe to the theology of credit cards and shopping lists. However, this year we ask that you grant us the joy that comes from a life lived simply and dedicated to you. Amen.
