Earth Day is April 22, 2010. May we be constantly aware of what we use, abuse, waste and contribute to the planet every day. OFFICIAL EARTH DAY site. Almighty God, whose loving hand hath given us all that we possess: Grant us grace that we may honor thee with our substance, and, remembering the account which we must one day give, may be faithful stewards of thy bounty, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Eleven tertiaries from as far away as Canada met at the Little Portion Friary for the 2010 Easter Retreat April 9, 10 & 11. Although one day was a rain-out it turned out to be a wonderful weekend. Brother Ambrose had a hands-on workshop and prayer meditation program. It was well done and presented. Our First Order brothers made us feel like family (as they always do). The food and fellowship was outstanding. Everyone had time to pray, meditate, think walk and worship. Now, scientists from universities like Harvard, Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins are using new technologies to analyze the brains of people who claim they have touched the spiritual — from Christians who speak in tongues to Buddhist monks to people who claim to have had near-death experiences. Hear what they have discovered in this controversial field, as the science of spirituality continues to evolve.

We awaken in Christ's body, As Christ awakens our bodies. There I look down and my poor hand is Christ, He enters my foot and is infinitely me. I move my hand and wonderfully My hand becomes Christ, Becomes all of Him. I move my foot and at once He appears in a flash of lightning. Do my words seem blasphemous to you? -Then open your heart to him. And let yourself receive the one Who is opening to you so deeply, For if we genuinely love Him We wake up inside Christ's body Where all our body all over, Even most hidden parts of it, Is realized in joy as Him. And He makes us utterly Real, And everything that is hurt, everything That seemed to us dark, harsh, shameful, Is in Him transformed. And in Him, recognized as whole, as lovely, And radiant in His light. We awaken as the beloved in every last part of our body. Amen Alleluia |
